The Pellston Hornets rounded out their season in East Jordan for the MHSAA Division 4 Regionals this past Saturday. Freshman Laith Griffith finished with a time of 23:13 (62nd) and Sophomore Preston Schmit PR’ed at 24:02 (64th). Senior Liz Slater represented the girls with a time of 30:16 (40th). The Pellston Hornets traveled to Mancelona for the MHSAA Pre-Regionals Thursday afternoon and ran with strong performances, all runners qualified for regionals! Laith Griffith came in 25th with a time of 23:33 and Preston Schmit ran a new PR of 24:44 (29th). For the girls, Liz Slater came in 17th with a time of 30:30.
The 2020 Pellston Hornets cross country team will compete in the modified MHSAA postseason this week when they head to Mancelona for Pre-Regional 56. Boys will run at 4pm, girls will follow. Go Hornets!

On Wednesday, September 16th, the Pellston Hornets traveled to Mancelona for their second 5k race of the season. For the girls, Liz Slater improved to (31:12, 34th) on the season.
