The Hornets dropped a tough matchup against a quality Gaylord St. Mary team at home on Wednesday night. Pellston struggled early to adjust to the Snowbird pressure, leading to many easy baskets for GSM. Seniors Madison Hutchinson and Vivian Dyer led the way for Pellston, as well as sophomore Emily Coffell. Hutchinson played a great all-around game, finishing with 3 points, a career high 11 rebounds, and 5 steals, while Dyer was the leading scorer with 8 points. Madison Brown also scored 6 points and had 7 rebounds. Brynn Warner was solid once again for the Hornets, and Aubree Ditta bounced back to have her best game of the season. Jenna Jurek was active defensively and on the glass, picking up 2 rebounds. The Hornets will look to get off to a better start Friday night against Bellaire. Go Hornets!
