The Pellston Hornets varsity baseball lost game 2 in their doubleheader at Hillman 9-15. Hornets jumped out to a 6-0 lead after top of 1st but was matched by 8 runs in bottom of 1st by Hillman. Sophomore Sage LaLonde took loss on the mound throwing 0.2 IP, 8 R, 6 ER, 1 H, 7 BB and 1 K. Glenn Bonter came in relief throwing the next 3.1 giving up 5, 3 ER on 3 hits with 5 K. Freshman Ethan Landon closed the game pitching the 5th inning, striking out 2 giving up 2 R, 2 BB and 0 hits.

It was the first time (game or practice) on a field this season for the Hornets and defensively it showed, committing 7 errors in game 2.

At the plate, Glenn Bonter, Rave O’Neil, Ethan Landon and Chase Zink tallied hits for Pellston.
